I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and certified hypnotherapist with a private practice in Chattanooga, TN. My specialty is treating trauma, grief, and anxiety. I started this blog to connect with other therapists so we could share ideas, inspiration, and success stories with one another. Although rewarding, trauma therapy is hard work, and I believe we can all benefit from little lifts, insights, and encouragements to keep us going. But, this site is not just for therapists. I want to share information that benefits as many people as possible.
I’m interested in neuroscience discoveries and ways to apply them in our work as psychotherapists. I also train mental health professionals in an innovative approach called Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT). RRT was developed by Dr. Jon Connelly and is particularly effective in clearing the negative effects of trauma. RRT is brilliantly creative, using language and methods that the emotional brain understands.
Most other therapies only target the level of our cognitive, rational mind. But, traumatic memories are stored in our brains at a different level and require an approach beyond cognitive therapy or traditional talk therapy. To learn more about RRT, visit www.cleartrauma.com.
